“Visibility Delivered.” is our new and recently launched tagline. The decision was made to replace the current tagline with one that better encapsulated and communicated IDENTEC SOLUTIONS position within the global marketplace as well as our overall strategic vision. Six months was all that was required for the IDENTEC SOLUTIONS technology department to develop and deliver to Mark-IT, the industry’s most comprehensive Reefer management system. The proprietary system effectively addressed their need for enhanced virtual visibility and tracking while also improving upon overall operational efficiencies.
In closing, I would like to take a moment and thank the IDENTEC SOLUTIONS team for their dedication and commitment throughout this very exciting but exceptionally busy time. The upcoming months promise to be even more eventful with many new developments on the horizon.

■ The real truth about RTLS.
Lately RTLS has become increasingly important in active RFID. Driven by rapidly increasing costs and competition from emerging markets, manufacturers and distributors are pulling out all the stops to drive efficiency and lower costs. For some industries a key cost driver is the need to know where assets are - in real time.
Traditionally, RTLS, or Real Time Locating Systems are used to track and identify the location of objects in real time, either indoors or out. However, the degree to which an asset or item is located can vary. For example, some customers are interested in whether an asset has arrived or departed their facility, while others need to know the specific location within the facility.
There are a number of vendors offering RTLS solutions of varying types. Technology and products offered by competitors have their merits. However, what sets them apart is that unlike IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, they are generally limited to a specific degree of precision, and all of them require significant infrastructure in order to make their solutions work.
IDENTEC SOLUTIONS offers a full-range line of RTLS systems. IDENTEC SOLUTIONS technology breaks ground in the healthcare market through technology partner McKesson to revolutionize the way hospital pharmacies operate.
Intellishelf Rx, the recently launched pharmaceutical system by McKesson, is drastically changing the way hospitals manage their extensive supply of onsite patient medications.
Incorporating IDENTEC SOLUTIONS Intelligent Long Range (ILR) technology along with barcode and proprietary software, McKesson's Intellishelf Rx system is the optimal pharmaceutical inventory management system.
Personnel shortages and financial pressures combined with a rapidly expanding list of available pharmaceuticals, translate into considerable challenges that tax the overall efficiency of hospital pharmacies. Often drug names appear similar and the varying strengths require in-depth training and memorization of an entire inventory by pharmaceutical staff - simply to identify the medications storage location. The amount of effort and energy required to dispense and administer the vast inventory means valuable time is taken away from patients.
These issues are effectively addressed with the Intelligent Rx system. The intuitive software simplifies training and eases the pressure involved in the dispensing process and inventory management. The IDENTEC SOLUTIONS booth was hopping at last month’s RFID Journal Live Trade Show in Las Vegas. Visitors turned out in record number for product demonstrations and to get first hand information on the recent North American release of IDENTEC SOLUTIONS WatcherSERIES technology portfolio. Executive Vice President Peter Linke’s presentation of a Siemens’ asset tracking case study was exceptionally well received by attendees.
There was no shortage of aspiring linebackers at the show. Numerous booth visitors took the IDENTEC CHALLENGE – with a few taking home some pretty cool prizes.
