g   Live Large. Think Big.

IDENTEC SOLUTIONS is currently undergoing a number of exciting changes as it continues towards its goal of becoming the premier provider of intelligent wireless tracking and tracing products and solutions. A key strategic initiative was launched October 5, 2006 as our IDENTEC SOLUTIONS North American headquarters officially relocated to Dallas, Texas, USA.

Live Large. Think Big. This describes the essence and vitality of a city built on big dreams, freshly blazed trails and an attitude that all things are possible. This feeling aligns perfectly with our vision and culture at IDENTEC SOLUTIONS. Our new office doors opened in Liberty Plaza, in the heart of Dallas' "Platinum Corridor" which is known for its high quality of life and for being a prominent location for corporate tenants. This richly diverse city is one of the fastest growing business centers in the United States, and it is emerging as the world's premier RFID hub.

Much of the booming market in radio-frequency identification tags is happening in Northern Texas. More than 120 companies in Dallas-Fort Worth are involved in RFID, according to a study commissioned by the Metroplex Technology Business Council.

In addition to being home to a variety of RFID companies and related businesses, Northern Texas is also a proving ground for RFID related products and services. Major customers such as Wal-Mart, Target and the US Government are deploying initial systems or pilots in the State of Texas.

With this new proximity to a variety of potential partners and integrators, we can align our experience, strengths, and forward thinking with like-minded people and firms. As well, Dallas is an ideal location for travel, allowing for convenient day trips to practically anywhere within the United States. This allows IDENTEC SOLUTIONS to respond more rapidly to the market, and enables us to give better service and support to our growing customer base.

3. PROVEN SOLUTIONS

g   The hidden value of active RFID

RFID technology has had a profound impact on virtually any industry seeking real-time information over the past decade. It has been quietly revolutionizing the way businesses manage the flow of goods and information in both the supply chain and market place.

To date, fewer industries have been as significantly impacted by using RFID technology as manufacturing. With the enormous pressure to cut costs, speed time-to-market, streamline manufacturing and supply chain processes, RFID is gaining an unshakable foothold in the logistics arena.

One industry that is turning to RFID for solutions is Transport Services in the Life Sciences industry. In the US, Florida and California introduced obligatory temperature monitoring during delivery of medicines, vaccines, and blood products. This is set to become mandatory throughout the USA starting next year and is becoming more widespread in Europe too. One European company ahead of the curve is the German company Trans-o-flex, which operates in 19 European countries and transports over 50 million temperature-sensitive products every year. The Trans-o-flex RFID implementation includes IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' active transponders fitted with a temperature sensor that registers the exact temperature of their immediate environment every 15 minutes and at each transfer from a box to a carton or from a warehouse to a truck. This information is then sent to a host system. The LED on the IDENTEC SOLUTIONS tag on each package flashes if the temperature is correct and turns off if it is over or under the defined threshold. Staff can verify the products’ temperature history at every stage in the supply chain process, and if they see a package without a flashing LED, its transport is stopped immediately. This capability gives healthcare manufacturers and distributors a full audit trail of a product’s transport history, eliminating the risk of damaged products and potentially costly litigation.

Active, long-range RFID is increasing efficiency, reducing time-to-market, and maximizing the value of companies' assets. IDENTEC SOLUTIONS is one of the key innovators quietly providing value to a host of industries with intelligent long range tracking and tracing solutions.
